Joining SuperFan Club

What is SuperFan Club?
SuperFan Club is an online community of Cartoon Network and Boomerang fans designed to gather opinions and ratings on all aspects of the Cartoon Network and Boomerang and their partners, such as the cartoons, characters, digital media, advertisers, and products advertised.

Who is the SuperFan Club for?
SuperFan Club is for fans and the parents/guardian of Cartoon Network and Boomerang. The fans will be children, but we ask that one of their parents is involved to be the primary contact and be in control of what their child participates in on SuperFan Club..

How do I join the SuperFan Club?
Go to https://superfanclub.com/join/?rsrc=1 and complete the short registration survey. The survey will ask a few questions to check you qualify to join, a few questions about your household and your contact details. You will then be sent an email asking you to confirm your registration, this is to validate your email address and confirm that you consent to becoming a member of SuperFan Club.

What are the qualification criteria to join SuperFan Club?
You must be the parent or guardian of a Cartoon Network or Boomerang fan. At the moment, SuperFan Club is only available to UK residents but we hope to open up to fans from other countries very soon.

I’m under 16 but I want to join
Due to the rules and regulations surrounding how market research can be conducted, under 16’s cannot join the community on their own. You can be part of the SuperFan Club community but your parents/guardian will have to sign-up on your behalf.

If I enter details about my children are they also registered?
You must have one child who is a fan of Cartoon Network or Boomerang to join and we will ask you for their name and age when you sign-up. However, we will only collect and use your contact details. You will also have the opportunity to enter details of other children in your household who want to be involved.

Can I invite my friends to join?
You can invite your friends by sending them the registration URL https://superfanclub.com/join/?rsrc=1.

Taking part in SuperFan Club activities

How will I be notified about SuperFan Club activities?
Notification of activities will primarily be by email to the parent/guardian registered on SuperFan Club. The email will include information about what activity is taking place and who the activity is for.

How will my children be notified about activities for them?
Children will be notified about activities for them via an email to their parent/guardian. The email will say something like “A few questions for [child’s name]” and ask you, the parent/guardian, to forward the email to the child’s email address or click-through to the activity with them.

When will I receive my first invitation?
The first invitation will come soon after you join.

Do I/my family have to participate in every activity we are invited to?
Not at all. We know that sometimes it isn’t convenient to take part, or the activity may not be of interest. You won’t be penalised for not participating. If you or your family don’t participate for a few months we will contact you to check that you want to stay part the SuperFan Club community.

How are surveys accessed?
There will be a link to the survey in the email invitation. Simply click on the link, or copy and paste it into a browser, to start the survey.

How long will surveys and other activities take?
Generally, activities will range from 1 to 10 minutes to complete. On some occasions the project may require participation to be for a longer period; this will be clearly stated in the invitation and rewarded accordingly.

Why am I not getting invited to any activities?
We will only send you and your family invitations to activities that are relevant to you and sometimes we will be looking for fans of a particular cartoon or character or age. We do try to have some activities for all members to take part in, so it shouldn’t be too long before you are invited to take part.

What can I do to receive more SuperFan Club invitations
We will occasionally send you ‘profiling’ surveys, where we find out a bit more about you and your family. We use these to find relevant people for our activities, so please do complete the profiling surveys and update your profile if anything changes.

Rewards

What’s in it for me?
Each time you or your family participate in SuperFan Club activities you will be awarded points. The amount of points awarded will depend on the specific activity and you will be told how many points are on offer in the invitation.

The points are accumulated for two purposes: (1) to collect digital badges featuring various Cartoon Network and Boomerang characters, and (2) to convert into entries into quarterly prize draws, where the points collected during the three months of the quarter will be converted on a 1:1 basis into entries into the prize draw.

Each quarterly prize draw will have 21 prizes distributed as follows:

  • First prize: 1 x £100 gift voucher
  • Second prize: 4 x £50 gift voucher
  • Third prize: 20 x £10 gift voucher

For some projects, specific gifts will be awarded. These will be communicated within the invitation email.

How will I know if I have won a prize in the prize draw?
We will email you if you have won a prize.

How long does it take to receive rewards?
Prizes won in the prize draw should be received within 7 working days.

Gifts awarded for taking part in specific projects should be received within 14 days of the stated end date of the project.

How do the SuperFan Club badges work?
As you and your family accumulate points, digital badges of Cartoon Network characters will be revealed and collected. The more points earned, the more badges will be collected. There are lots to collect so good luck getting them all.

Password and login information

I have forgotten my password – what do I do?
To login to SuperFan Club you need your email address and a password. If you have forgotten your password just click on ‘Reset your password’ [WHERE] on the page.

I’m sure my password is correct but it is not being accepted – what do I do?
I reset my password but I have not received an email with the new password

The password in the reset email does not work – why?
Please make sure you have entered the password correctly. If you have copied and pasted from an email, try typing the password instead. If the password still does not work, please contact us at support@superfanclub.com

I have changed my email address, how do I change this in the SuperFan Club?
Go to ‘My Profile’ [INSERT LINK]. There you can change your screen name, email address and password. You need to be logged into the community to change your profile.

I no longer want to be part of SuperFan Club. How do I leave?
There is an ‘Unsubscribe’ link in every email we send you. Just click on the ‘Unsubscribe’ link to leave the community. Alternatively, go to ‘Unsubscribe’ on the site and follow the instructions [INSERT LINK].

Can I rejoin SuperFan Club if I leave?
If you unsubscribe from SuperFan Club and want to re-join, please email support@superfanclub.com

Privacy

Is the personal information I provide kept private?
Personally identifiable information is processed and stored securely and used to contact you and facilitate you and your family’s participation in SuperFan Club activities.

For most research projects the data from all participants is anonymised and aggregated for reporting purposes and no personally identifiable information is shared. Occasionally, we may ask research participants to upload images or videos, but you will be informed at the time if this is the case and how your contributions will be used.

What information do you collect?
During the course of joining SuperFan Club or by participating in community activities we may collect the following personal and sensitive data:

    • name;
    • date of birth;
    • gender;
    • household composition;
    • email address;
    • home address including post code;
    • telephone numbers;
    • name & date of birth of children in your household;
    • ethnicity;
    • household income;
    • IP address;
    • web browser type and version;
    • operating system;
    • a list of URLs starting with a referring site, your activity on Our Site, and the site you exit to.

What do you do with the information you collect?
The information we collect is used for research purposes to understand who our users are, what are their likes, dislikes, preferences, etc., and help us to deliver better products and services.

Where is my information stored?
Your information is stored on secure servers located within the EU.

How secure is the information I give you?
The information is very secure. The data collected at sign-up and from surveys is stored and processed in compliance with the EU’s General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and various privacy laws in the USA and other countries of the world.
